Crataegus is a genus of tree native to the temperate regions of Europe, Asia, North Africa and North America. The berries of Hawthorn trees, sometimes referred to as haws, have been utilised by humans all over the world for centuries. They are a key part of traditional Chinese medicine, and they are used in the United Kingdom to make wines and jams. The people of Mexico have a particular fondness for the fruit, they often eat them raw, use them for several confitures, and even use them to make sweets. The incipient profile of Hawthorn berries includes: flavonoids, vitamin C, beta-carotene, B vitamins, pectin, minerals and organic acids.

Our qualified Herbalist uses only our own zero ppm quad filtered distilled water, all equipment used is stainless steel and our herbal extracts are bottled into steam sterilised UV resistant pharmaceutical grade glass bottles, which obviates the need to use preservatives of any kind. Take care not to touch the inside of the neck of bottle or lid against anything or return decanted herbal extracts.
